It doesn’t feel the same
If you want to improve code, ask a machine, or a person who can think like a machine. That’s what programmers do.
If you want to improve art, ask an artist, or a person who can communicate through images and sounds. That’s what artists do.
What you probably don’t want to do, is try to improve art by thinking like a machine.
Because while code gets better when it conforms to spec like things that came before it, art does not.
This is why we see so many tech firms dumbfounded by the pushback around generative visuals, wondering why people “feel nothing” when, to a machine, it looks the same.
Because it doesn’t feel the same.
