What makes your work better

It taking a long time to make doesn’t automatically make your work better.

It taking a lot of people doesn’t automatically make your work better.

It taking a weekend or a late night doesn’t automatically make your work better.

If the time results in something more special, more rare, in a way customers can appreciate, then sure. But more time doesn’t mean mo’ better. More people can often make something worse, not better. And late night work is more likely to be an indicator of poor planning than of great work.

Focus on the output — the great, high-quality work. Let the inputs be guided by that, not defined by it.
